Lisa Robinson has reversed course on being the Deputy Chief of a fraudulent Pretendian group called the “Kawartha Lakes First Nation”. On June 5, 2025, one month after her appearance at a meeting, an article appeared in the Pickering News Advertiser saying that she was declining the offer to be Deputy Chief.
In the article, Robinson is quoted as saying “While I was approached with an offer to serve as deputy chief, I declined after requesting documentation to confirm the legitimacy of the leadership,” she said in a statement. “No such documentation was provided and I made it clear that I could not be associated with them without proof of legitimacy.” Read the full article here: Pickering Coun. Lisa Robinson turns down deputy chief title
Why didn’t Robinson check out the phony group’s legitimacy earlier? It wasn’t difficult to find out that the Kawartha Lakes “First Nation” is a complete scam operation run by a person of questionable character. She had been communicating with William Denby since April, a month before the meeting occurred that was broadcast on Rumble: 2025.05.05 Kawartha First Nation NEW Deputy Chief Lisa Robinson!

The seven-members of the Williams Treaties First Nations released a statement about the phony group as far back as April 12, 2024. You can read it here: 2024-04-12-WTFN-Notice-to-Public-re-William-Denby.pdf

The Guardian published an article about William Denby and his merry band of morons on May 9, 2024. Is a previously unheard-of First Nation just Canada’s latest Pretendian case? | Canada | The Guardian
Why did Lisa Robinson not did do her homework before visiting Denby’s fleabag operation on May 5, 2025? Why did she enter the building after seeing the full-on crazy display outside? She fancies herself as someone who holds others accountable for not researching properly. Her own research was deplorable.
When the news broke about her involvement with Denby, the backlash was scathing. We thank members of the community for making it clear that Pretendianism, especially by elected officials, is never acceptable. Her excuse is too little too late. Credit for backing out properly belongs to members of the community.
